In 2022, Uruguay had the highest age-standardized prevalence rate of all cancer types in Latin America and the Caribbean, with 1,316 cases per 100,000 population. Barbados and Cuba followed, with caner prevalence rates of 1,192.3 and 1,114.8, respectively. That year, Uruguay also had the region's highest mortality death rate.
